Neighbour warns me about bailiff visit

Post by russelldurose »

Dear all

My neighbour spoke to me this morning concerning an old parking ticket but left no name, no company, basically my neighbour said I did not live in the area. This PCN is over 2 years ago. What can I do?

The neighbour said the address on the warrant was his not mine. He is several houses up.

The warrant has the wrong address on it. Your neighbour's address. It is a "defective instrument"

To execute the warrant, the council must reapply for a new warrant specifying your correct address. Civil Procedure Rule 75.7(7).
